The Hingham Women's Club (HWC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of women dedicated to serving the Hingham and South Shore communities. Through charitable donations and direct service, we strive to meet the needs of families, students, and seniors in our area. Our mission is simple: we are women giving back to the community, fostering meaningful partnerships to support those in need.

We are excited to announce that Festival of Trees (FoT), our annual holiday fundraising event, will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Hingham Community Center (HCC) during the beloved Hingham Christmas in the Square. This event is a cherished tradition for thousands of local residents and neighbors across the South Shore.

As part of Festival of Trees, the Hingham Community Center will be transformed with beautifully decorated charity trees, each bringing awareness to and collecting donations for important charitable causes that we proudly support. Our 2024 United for Good Charity Trees will include:
-
Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore
-
DOVE (DOmestic Violence Ended)
-
Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Brain Tumor Center in honor of Adelia the Wonder Girl Fund
-
Scituate Animal Shelter
-
The Arc of the South Shore
-
Free.

All monetary and physical donations collected for the specific charities listed above during the event will go directly to these charities, ensuring your contributions have an immediate impact.
Additionally, we will be holding a raffle with items generously donated by individuals, groups, and local businesses. The money raised during this charitable event benefits the HWC College Scholarship Fund and the 2024 United for Good Charities.
The Hingham Women's Club College Scholarship Program awards three (3) $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors residing in Hingham who will be entering an accredited college/university for a two- or four-year course of study and currently have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Money raised by the Festival of Trees funds the Hingham Women's Club Scholarship program.
The beloved Christmas in the Square celebration is organized by the Hingham Downtown Association (HDA) and it has been a Hingham holiday tradition enjoyed by thousands of residents and neighbors across the South Shore for over forty years.
