Women Giving Back to the Community
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Mother's Day Tea
HWC members volunteer to put on this fun event for our community seniors. With the help of several local businesses, the Girl Scouts, and our members HWC put a lovely event.
Festival of Trees
Festival of Trees is our biggest fundraiser of the year falls during Hingham's Christmas in the Square weekend. Each year the club auctions off themed trees to raise funds for Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore and our scholarship fund. This year, we raised $18,000! Be sure to join us next year!
Each year the Hingham Women's Club puts together a breakfast, crafts for kids, and photos with the Easter Bunny before the town egg hunt. This fun and free event is a great way to connect Hingham families.
Kids that Care
Kids that Care is a HWC committee that provides opportunities for those with Children to give back. HWC members' children visited and sang Christmas carols for residents at Queen Anne's Nursing Home.
Our fifth annual Spring Fundraiser benefitted SNAP for 2019. Thank you to all the vendors and businesses who supported this great event! We raised $5,300!
HWC recently provided members the opportunity to volunteer this January at Father Bill's in Quincy. Father Bill's helps people who are struggling with homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness, to achieve self-sufficiency.
